The new president of the BC Government and Services Employees Union is visiting Prince George. Stephanie Smith was elected BCGEU President at the end of May and has been touring the province ever since. One of the stops involved a groundbreaking of the new offices being built in the downtown. The three storey, $4 million facility is slated to become home for the union early in 2015. Smith says the current offices simply aren’t suitable for the union anymore.
