Job Description

Wales McLelland has completed two buildings on this multi-tenant commercial development site which presented a number of special building conditions. The site was originally a bog consisting of peat deposits overlying clayey silt, over compact sand, over dense glacial deposits. Portions of the site had been previously mined for peat and replaced with construction waste, wood debris, hogfuel and mineral fills, as such, extensive work was required to prepare the ground for conventional foundations.  The first building is a 20,000 sq.ft. retail facility for Lordco Auto Parts, and the second building is 5,000 sq.ft. with three street frontages and room for the potential expansion of two more buildings. It is currently tenanted by Burger King, and Quiznos Subs.
