This 111,000 sq.ft. building includes a warehouse, manufacturing, and a distribution centre. Other features in the facility include a prominent reception area, spacious offices, a warehouse with 28’ clear ceilings and 21 loading bays.
Specialty features include self-contained explosion-proof paint booths, nitrogen cooling system, trade waste containment and treatment, emergency generator, overhead cranes, a self-contained carpentry shop, and a quality control laboratory. In addition to these features, a unique fresh air system was installed to pump fresh air into the building for the approximately 500 employees who work there.
Porte Realty continues their new building program by adding a third industrial building to their portfolio in Campbell Heights. Building C is an undivided base building to be fitted for a future multi-tenant warehouse and office building with allowance for future mezzanines. It adds 19,000 sq.ft to the Campbell Heights Business Center which now totals 104,000 sq.ft. The concrete tilt-up building has a clear ceiling height of 26'6" in the warehouse. Features include storefront glazing and insulated overhead doors for nine loading bays.
This project was an office tenant improvement on two levels, including private offices, reception, boardroom, lunchroom, server rooms, and amenity areas.
Wales Mclelland was awarded the contract to construct a freezer addition for the Delta Pacific Seafood processing facility. The work included a structural steel and insulated wall structure, new refrigeration equipment and the installation of a new electrical substation.
This project consists of two separate ‘tilt-up’ distribution/warehouse buildings on a ten acre site. Building One is a single storey structure zoned for one to four tenants and is built to accommodate the future construction of two mezzanines. Building Two is also a one storey structure with 3,600 sq.ft. of split-level office space. The facility was designed to accommodate loading from railspurs and has approximately 720 feet of 4 foot deep awnings over the loading bays.
Large expansion to existing Shared Services Facility utilizing concrete tilt-up construction. The expansion included a small office but was largely driven by the need for more distribution/storage area.
This large tenant improvement to an existing structure includes 20,000 square feet of new slab on grade work. Our work included expansion to cooler and freezer spaces, added low temperature construction and refrigeration equipment, extensive plumbing systems and added office space and washrooms.

Wales McLelland was selected to be the Construction Manager of the freezer/cooler distribution facility. Using a cast-in-place concrete suspended floor slab with a parkade underneath, this high production blast freezer will help Hallmark maintain their leading edge presence in the Western Canada food industry.
