This 70,000 square foot office/retail building was constructed from using tilt-up concrete and cast-in-place architectural walls. The facility includes parking, geothermal heating, unique architectural finishes, and elaborate landscaping design.
Wales McLelland was contracted by Madison Pacific Properties to build this single storey warehouse with office space. This project required special consideration due to soil conditions in Richmond. The facility is used to supply product to all Starbuck’s facilities in the Lower Mainland, Squamish, and Whistler area.
The project consisted of preloading and site preparation to raise grade to match existing warehouse elevation. New unit heaters and three (3) additional dock levellers will be added to this concrete tilt-up warehouse addition.
Wales McLelland is the Design Build contractor for this addition to the existing distribution facility for Panasonic Canada. Pre-load was placed in two phases to allow for continuous operation of the facility. The addition comprised of concrete tilt-up walls, loading docks, new access road and related site works.

Wales McLelland constructed this state-of-the-art cold storage and distribution facility on 11.4 acres at the Victoria International Airport Authority lands for Sobeys Thrifty Foods. This 155,000 sq.ft. facility utilizes insulated metal panels, structural steel for the envelope, and includes a 24,000 sq.ft. freezer, a 16,000 sq.ft. cooler/future freezer and 42,000 sq.ft. of dry storage, with both Dry and Cold Docks, with a total of 30 loading bays. There is a ground floor office hub plus a 6500 sq.ft. mezzanine for a total of 11,700 sq.ft. of office space.
