Wales McLelland was awarded the contract to construct an expansion to the existing auto showroom that includes tile floors and high-end lighting, as well as glass, aluminum and some Alucobond panels. It will also be necessary to tie into the existing geothermal loop for the mechanical systems.

Wales McLelland was chosen to complete this three storey office facility for the Canexus Corporation, a chemical manufacturing and handling company. The building structure is steel & tilt-up concrete and general work includes demolition, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and an NFPA13 fire system, as well as paving, landscaping, and elevator installation. Interior finishes include carpeting in the office areas with tile and vinyl in common areas, and custom millwork.
Wales McLelland is the general contractor for this tenant improvement project. The building, which will remain occupied during construction, is in close proximity to the property line and will require both interior and exterior work.
We are currently constructing a 3-storey retail and office multi-tenant building for Wesgroup Properties in their Gateway Business Park in Langley. It is being built using concrete tilt-up panels and will be finished with glass, aluminum, and exterior landscaping.
Wales McLelland was chosen to complete an expansion and renovation for Haakon Industries, a world leader in custom designed and built HVAC equipment. A wood framed second floor will be added to the existing building and will include a new staircore, select areas of the existing office will also be renovated. Building envelope work includes the addition of new vinyl windows and a skylight with all sawcutting and demolition to be performed at night as the facility will remain in operation during construction.
Wales McLelland was awarded the contract for the construction of a 2,550 sq.ft. shell building for a Famoso restaurant. Work includes a new sloped tile roof, stucco and brick veneer finishes as well as a green wall. Additional work includes the construction of a steel and glass canopy around an existing entrance facade complete with brick veneer column cladding and composite aluminum panels at existing glazing.
Wales McLelland was selected to complete this new three building multi-tenant retail complex along Lougheed Highway. The site area is approximately 115,000 sq.ft. and the buildings will house 12 tenants with a total of almost 50,000 sq.ft.. General work will include excavation, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, paving, masonry, and landscaping, as well as storm water and fire prevention systems. Steel and concrete tilt-up panels will form the building structures with hardiboard, metal siding, and cultured stone and brick veneers completing the exterior treatments.
Wales McLelland is the construction manager for this large four storey building which will function as multi-tenant office space. The structure will be built using concrete tilt-up construction and use extensive glazing. The building will be LEED Certified and use a high efficiency water source heat pump system with DDC controls.
Wales McLelland was chosen to complete construction of this new Integrated Research Library that is intended to accommodate the future growth of collections. It is located at UBC Vancouver’s South Campus and will house research collections for the long-term. It provides 2,280 square metres of high density collection storage including space for a small digitization area, a contained freezer area for decontamination, a staff work area and a publicly accessible reading room.
