Project SYSCO Distribution Facility – Langford, BC

In 2009, SYSCO Corporation was looking for a trusted design-build contractor for their new distribution facility. So they came back to Wales McLelland to get the job done once again. The building includes 36,000 sq .ft. of office space, along with a mezzanine, a 31,000 sq. ft. freezer, a 37,000 sq. ft. cooler, a 56,000 sq. ft. dry warehouse, and a 54,000 sq. ft. production space with loading docks.

In addition to the interior storage and distribution areas, we also installed a commercial-grade demonstration kitchen for SYSCO. The exterior of the building was constructed using structural steel, insulated metal panels, and concrete tilt-up panels, while the roof was made from an environmentally-friendly white reflecting TPO membrane. From storage to distribution to the demonstration kitchen, this SYSCO project used the expertise of the Wales McLelland team to its full potential.
