GroupHEALTH Place is a four-storey cast-in-place concrete office structure, with two levels of parkade below grade and a rooftop patio. The tenant fit-out is comprised of a 55,000 sq. ft. design-built office area that includes state-of-the-art meeting and collaborative workspace, along with lunch facilities.
New Build and Tenant Fit-Out
Wales has been involved in the design of both the base building and the tenant fit-out, contributing by providing estimating and construction related advice. This included assistance with preparing their RFP for an Interior Designer, and assistance with the design process by attending the design meetings, providing input, and estimate through the design stages. As Wales has been constructing the base building, we have been able to start the tenant improvement work in conjunction with the base building work, enabling us to deliver the completed offices months in advance of when it would have been possible otherwise.
A Best-In-Class Employee Experience
The new office building, GroupHEALTH Place, will be located in a growing commercial centre in South Surrey, BC. The building is comprised of approximately 335 workstations, with supportive workspace amenities including offices, boardrooms, flex lunchroom, and fitness room. The scope also includes Server & IT space, with an upgrade to their current audiovisual facilities. The offices are a single tenant space, and the access control and security are catered to their needs. This new corporate centre will allow GroupHEALTH to provide a best-in-class employee experience, with space to further enhance wellness and team-building activities, as well as training and career development opportunities for all staff.
