We are very proud to have been part of the new library facility for the University of British Columbia. We built the library using only locally sourced concrete and a tilt-up concrete system. It is 24,500 square feet and provides 2,280 square metres of high density collection storage including space for a small digitization area, a contained freezer area for decontamination, a staff work area and a publicly accessible reading room.
The REMI Network outlines the approach taken to make this library a temperature-controlled environment, explanding the shelf life of books. Click here for more details on this new facility, great article from the REMI Network!
